Robert's extensive experience began while he was in the Untied States Marine Corps where he served in several leadership positions, was an Air Traffic Controller, and oversaw the training and readiness of a 720 Marine Squadron dispersed over two states and four bases.
His personal decorations include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, the Air Force Achievement Medal, presidential unit citation, navy unit commendation w/4 bronze stars in lieu of 5th award, meritorious unit commendation, good conduct medal with 2 stars in lieu of 3rd award, Iraqi Campaign Medal with 2 stars, 3 Navy Commendations, and 14 Meritorious Masts. He also earned a Black Belt in the Marine Corps Martial Arts Program.
Robert has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Homeland Security, a Master's degree in Business Administration, and a Master's degree in Project Management. He also has a Black Belt in Lean Six Sigma.
He has worked in the private sector since retiring from the Marines in 2014. He’s held several senior management positions with companies such as Amazon, FormFactor, CarMax, and JELD-WEN. He has also held executive management positions with Garageskins and Snake River Manufacturing. He possesses a wealth of knowledge that, in total, has helped save these companies hundreds of millions of dollars by improving process controls and removing waste, among other things.
Robert’s hobbies are gun smithing, shooting, smoking meats, cooking, and home projects. He teaches shooting classes as he is a certified instructor through the United States Concealed Carry Association and National Rifle Association.
